CURRICULUM VITAE
Studied Biotechnology at the Technical University of Braunschweig, and conducted the research for the diploma thesis in the field of molecular biology and oncovirology at The Scripps Research Institute in San Diego, graduated with diploma in 2003.
Awarded Ph.D. (Dr. rer. nat.) in 2007 at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg for research in the field of structural biology and biochemistry, in particular studies on the structure of the molecular interactions of the membrane protein V-ATPase. Graduate scholarship from the Marie Curie Foundation.
Post-doctoral work at the EMBL with a focus on electron microscopy and computerized image processing for analysis of large protein complexes, in particular precursors of the eukaryotic ribosome.
Working in intellectual property law field in the fields of chemistry and life sciences since 2009.
