Studied Physics at the technical university of Karlsruhe (now Karlsruhe Institute of Technology KIT), graduated with diploma (Dipl.Phys.) in 2000
Awarded PhD (Dr. rer. nat) in 2005 for research in the field of defect structures in two-dimensional photonic crystals conducted at the institute for theoretical condensed matter physics of the Technical University of Karlsruhe (now Karlsruhe Institute of Technology KIT).
Active in the area of intellectual property with a focus on protecting inventions in the field of in nanotechnology, optics and software-engineering as well as protecting trademarks since 2005.
Lecturer for „Intellectual Property“ at the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) since 2014.
